    Caulker Cay texture?
Hello! I am reading Vin Russo's The Complete Boa Constrictor in hopes of narrowing down what kind of boa might be a good fit for me. I was reading the subchapter about Caulkers Cay boas, and he mentions that "Caulkers Cay boas also have a unique granular texture and appearance that feels rough to the touch." Can anyone out there who has experience with Caulkers Cay boas say a little bit more about what their texture is like? I'm wondering how rough it is and how different it is compared to other boas. Thanks!

Hello - Sorry I didn't see this sooner.

I have a Russo/Siegel Caulkers Cay that is a year and a half old and doesn't feel any different than my other boas honestly. Her colors are beautiful and has an amazing temperament. She's about 450/475 grams now around 24-30" long and eats a weaned rat every week (going to get her on an every other week feed schedule pretty soon).

Sorry took so long to see this, hope it helps.
