I'm going to need some cool climbing/perching for the new carpet python I've acquired.

    My question is this:

Do I simply take a walk on the beach and put the driftwood I find in the enclosure or is there some process to make it "safe" to do so?

Beachwood is usually pretty darn clean. I just give mine a good hosing down then let it thoroughly dry in the sun.
