Asmodeus progression thread!

So, ive been browsing the forums a while and I decided to get my first BP in a long time. I went to a reptile expo, originally looking for a tarantula.. but part of me wanted to get a bumblebee ball python.. well I never got my bee. I did get a Fire Fly male though! He's so yellow, which is probably why I grabbed him haha. He weighed 80 grams~ when I got him, right now he's weighing 116g. Eats like a champ and never refuses.

Super yellow with dark black! MY KIND OF SNAKE! :gj:

I was hoping to find something super yellow, which is why i liked bee's. IDK what fire does, but it seems to make the pastel pop lol

Fire brightens them up and makes them a bit more yellow I believe. Super beautiful boy! I didn't like more yellow when I first got into the hobby for some reason but now they are some of my favorite! Lol

He ate his first rat pup last week, and just yesterday he took a FT rat pup without issue. Which was a major relief.. pet store prices for rats/mice was insane. Now I just got a bag of pups sitting in my freezer lol! He's grown so much, he weighs about 170g now and is perfectly tame. I named him Asmodeus because he was so bitey, wanted to act like a demon i'll name him after one. I'll try and get pics shortly, he's getting so big :D. Looking around to get a Spinner or Spinner blast. Already addicted xD

As for feeding, I'm glad he's eating! Beeps are so finnicky sometimes (Looking at you, Mars Bar!). I think a lot of people on here buy rats online, the price for frozen shipping is quite steep (I know it's £10 here, America I don't know) so for one snake you might have to place a large order (Hope you have a big freezer!) but if you buy bulk it's a lot cheaper than pet store prices.

I found a rat breeder out here through some local ball python breeders, slowly making contacts haha. Very convenient for me to get live or F/T rats now, guy does delivery for 5.00 no matter the size of the order, so cheaper than pet store prices, shorter commute to the meet and a rat breeder with a great reputation makes everything so much easier. I was actually a bit worried when I was switching him to FT, cause with live he was always very skittish to eat, with the FT rat he took it right away. Hoping he keeps that habit.
