Wet Towel Method?

Humidity is a problem still but I want to keep up with tanks.
Instructions on how to do the "Wet Towel Method"?

Like do you soak the towel, fold it up, and put it on the cage?

Yeah dampen the towel, like soak it then ring it out to were it's not dripping but still wet then cover half the top with it.

Another way is to get the damp towel the same way and place it on top of the hot hide or both hides (One each) this is what I do when mine are in shed to up the humidity more. You could do either or both depending on how low your humidity is

Alright awesome ^-^ keep an eye on that to see how well it says, it should be good for a little while though. Jus. check on the towel every now and then and rewet it when it gets dry. If you put one on top of the hot hide then it'll dry out faster

Did you ever try a humid hide? Or covering most the top with plastic sheet? Humid hides can help wonders.

x2. @OP i'd pick up a brick of sphagnum moss from the pet store to use during sheds or periods of low humidity. it's good to have; i've had the same brick of moss for three years and i'm only half-way through it.

Wet towel works but is a pita because you have to continue to wet it. Best way to get good, consistent humidity is to mostly seal the enclosure and use a good substrate, I like reptichip. If you go this route you rarely need to do anything for humidity, maybe spray down the substrate occasionally as needed. I found the easiest way to seal the enclosure with a screen top is to cut a piece of plexiglass to the size of your screen top, then you can cut a circle out where your heat lamp goes if you use one or just drill some holes in it for ventilation. It doesn't take much to vent and the less ventilation you have, the more humid it will stay.

I was going to get plexi-glass pieces cut for the tops of my terrariums but no one at the hardware stores that i visited was interested in cutting the necessary holes for the CHEs. I don't have the tools (or the skill, IMHO) to do it myself. Are there any other options?

They should be able to do at least two simple straight cuts. So just have it cut the width and then 4" short of the length and that will leave room for your che(depending size, adjust 4" to make sure you have enough space) but still hold in much more humidity.
