    Kinda worried....
I feel uncomfortable when I don't see Axel because I feel like he isn't doing so well...
I wanna get larger food for him but I am unable to.. He is suppose to eat every Thursday, I know today is Monday.
He is in his hide right now
    How do I stop worrying?
I am a big worry wart, that is what my mom calls me.

Does he look healthy to y'all? (From the other pics I've shared.)

Well he seem better at night?

He did look a little thin, but that's typical for a PetSmart snake. Do you know how much he weighs? If you follow this chart that I'm about to send for his feedings, you should be fine.

As long as you're up to date on his weight, and you're feeding him the right weight of prey size, he should be fine. I worry about my noodle when I'm away too, so I know how it is.

You are definitely worrying too much they spend majority of their time hiding sometimes they'll wander but you also have to take into consideration it's a new environment.

Ball pythons spend the majority of time in their hides- it's perfectly normal.

a hiding ball is a happy ball. :)

take a deeeeep breath. this part is the most exciting and least stressful, because it's hands-off and allowing the snake to adjust for a few days. enjoy the excitement of a new pet (that you can't see yet)!!! google snake photos and think about your first handling session together; it's going to be exiting! when i first got Yellow, i would be so anxious to see him i couldn't sleep knowing he might come out at night.

only thing i can judge about health from a photo is weight: Axel looks skinny, but nothing a few meals can't fix.

wait until thrs to offer food.

Thank you all for helping. I do worry to much, it is my personality and anxiety. Haha

You all made me feel alot more comfortable. :)

And sorry but I don't have a scale yet. So, I don't know how much he weighs.

Just for reference.....I got my BP about 2 months ago and never saw him for about the 1st 2-3 weeks. Occasionally, I'd catch him late at night. It wasn't until recently that he started showing himself and I can now catch him around 9pm every night cruising the enclosure. Please make sure you follow the acclimation process which is don't handle until 3 successful feedings. This will help ensure you give him the best chance of getting used to his cage and reducing his stress level.

i deal with anxiety, too. i remember my first months with Yellow; the worrying never really stops, but you learn to trust yourself better.

since weight is one of the best indicators for overall health, a scale is p much necessary. this is the one i've been using for almost three years, but any kitchen scale will do (just not the one in YOUR kitchen! :P).

If your ball is in their hide that means you are most likely doing something right.
