    Discoloration in Pied scales (picture)
    Hi,

    I just checked in on my pied this morning and I noticed some very startling color changes. In the picture you can see the spotted yellow coming up on the sides, and you can also see the brown spot on top looks abnormally dark. His rack is clean, with no excrement anywhere, so I'm not sure what it could be. Any advice is appreciated, I'm thinking of waiting until his next shed, to see if it clears up before going to the vet.

    Absolutely normal. I don't see any signs of scale issues at all. The normal lateral scale coloration and configuration to me. Good looking reptile.

    Yup! Looking good. Pieds are known for getting more color, less color, even black spots in their white as they age.
