    Question about feeding
So boop is 425g today at feeding. It says weaned rats up to 500 g. She is still gaining with the rat pups and I have 4 more to give before they are gone. Should I just skip weaned rats and go to small rats? It says small rats at about 500g. What would you all do?

Can you get one small rat to test before buying any volume? I tried to up mine to medium rats but he refuses to even look at them so I am stuck on small rats even though he is over 1000g. If your boop eats a small rat then that's excellent but if not then you are only out one small rat unless your other snake eats small rats.

Finish the weaned rats off. It's a guide; the snake will be fine with slightly small meals. No point in wasting the weaned rats.

Assuming you are feeding F/T, did you find any issues going from mice to rat pups? My one year old BP is a little over 200 grams and has been feeding on med mice. I just bumped him up to adult size mice but my intentions are to buy him some rat pups at the Repticon in a month. Curious if it's a seamless transition and how many I should buy (since they are not easy to come by in local shops). I don't want buy too many because I don't know how long it will take to go to small rats.

I would feed off the 4 you have left and move up a size.

Yes I am going to finish those first. Sorry for the confusion. Just wanted to know after those are gone to switch up to small or get weaned?

She was never on mice with me. When I got her I got rat pups for her since she was 200g.

Move up to weaned or skip to small rats? She is so close to 500g.

I'd say it depends if you're buying in bulk or can buy singles.

These from your workplace? If so and able to buy in singles, do a month of weaned weights in between the pups and smalls. See how she takes. If she transitions up a size easily, try smalls the next month. You're judging these by weight not an arbitrary listing size, yeah?

I can buy one at work. However then reptile show is coming October and buy in bulk without shipping lol.
