Are females typically thicker then males?

Now I know girls get bigger and thicker as adults but I didn't think the difference would be big as babies right? I just got a new girl in today and despite her being a almost 100 grams smaller then my boy she seemed a good bit thicker when I held her.

Is that common in girls? I had a friend suggest it might be because I hold Meeko more so he is more fit, is that a thing? Or is she just a little fatter or my boy to skinny? I can't really get a picture of the girl but here's one of my boy, does he look to skinny?

I've thought that to sometimes but his proportions seem like they should, his spine isn't protruding or anything like that and I feed him according to the feeding chart. An adult mouse every five days. I started out feeding him every seven days but like I said he's always seemed kinda skinny ever sense I first got him and I've seen people say they feed every five days until they are a bit older so I thought that would help.

But when I compared him to my girl he just didn't seem as thick as her and I got worried all over again. Like I said ever sense I first picked him up I've commented that he looked a bit skinny but people always say I'm worrying to much and he's just fit. He gains weight but he just gets longer not thicker. Idk what else I should do..

Well as long as your sure you're feeding him the right size, you should be fine. Do you ever weigh your prey items or just go by name? When was the last time you weighed him? If you are feeding him the right size then he may just have like a fast metabolism or something. Maybe females are thicker than males and I'm used to my girl.

That's what I was thinking as well. It could just be the lighting casting a shadow in an awkward way though.

Hatchlings tend to always be a little triangular until they grow up a bit. Can you take a pic of the snake laying on something flat from the front? That'll allow us to tell you more definitively if he's underweight or not.

Yeah I weight them, they are usually around 19 or 20 grams. I just weighed him today and he weighs 215 grams. On the chart is says to feed them 18 - 32 for 200-350 grams so sense he was lower on that spectrum and only just recently got to 200 I stayed lower on the grams. I'll take another picture in a sec
