Killer Bee hatchling

Beautiful! Looks like it's ready for some food! How have you been doing with getting them to eat? I just got my last two to take their first meals last night, what a relief. First time getting all the babies to eat is a little stressful. Hope your having good success so far, I know you have quite a few more than me so I can imagine you probably have at least a couple that want to make things tough for you lol.

That one did eat 3 days ago ;)
I have only tried the first clutch on feeding so far. The second only just got done shedding.
Out of the 7 hatchlings, I got 6 to eat. Just 3 days ago, so it did take a while!! Yes, quite worrisome until they finally eat ;)
They refused the f/t rat pinks. They refused the live rat fuzzies. They finally took like mouse hoppers !! I waited about a week before trying again each time. The first couple feedings, they may not have been that hungry yet.
They acted "afraid" of the live fuzzies (they were biggish rat fuzzies, though). They surely didn't like the hyper hoppers either, but finally went for it. The Killer Bee was the first to eat, didn't take long. The others took a bit longer. I kept peeking with the red light every so often. That last hopper I had to switch between 2 snakes that were interested but shy. The one finally went for it.
The Killer Spinner killed one hopper but then didn't eat it but kept looking around. So I put another live hopper in and it was killed and eaten right away.
My "garbage disposal" Pastel Desert Ghost Arjana ate anything the little ones didn't. She eats everything though and is always ready!! LOL
This Friday I'm getting more hoppers, going to try the second clutch too, but they may not be that hungry yet.
After a few meals I will try to switch them to F/T rats..

That's too funny, none of mine took rat pinks or fuzzies either so I have in and tried mice hoppers too. Worked like a charm! 5 of 7 the first night and the other two took the hoppers the second time offered. I'm happy they are but not too happy it took nice because I breed rats, NOT mice lol. Oh well, at least it's not just me haha. I guess I need to start breeding mice too now:(

Yeah, and I HATE mice...so stinky!! I was gagging at the smell of the tubs. Soon as it was safe to do so I moved hatchlings to clean tubs and cleaned the stinky ones.
I want to switch them ASAP, LOL.
But for now, I want them to eat. Whatever it takes...
Picky little stinkers, they are..
edited to say, starting on the 3rd feeding I will try rats that have sat in the mouse bedding for a bit, and go from there ;)
