Just a dirty face or could it be damage?
Here's a photo of Lucy, my 50% dwarf reticulated python. I've been keeping her on coconut husk substrate and last week I let it dry out a bit too much and when she ate her rat she got a piece in her mouth. I'm thinking it stained her face a bit since that stuff stains the water brown. But after looking at this photo I was wondering if she just has a dirty face from the coconut husk substrate or could it be damage from rubbing (or both)? Has anyone seen anything like this before? Maybe I need to throw her in the bathtub for a bit with some warm water to clean off her face? She almost weighs 30 pounds now!

I'd say it looks like coconut husk. My big boa has this sometimes. Give em' a bath I guess if it really worries you!

Looks like dirt but a Damp washcloth and wipe her face should give you the answer
