    A little weird?
So this new bamboo arrived last Wednesday and she just seems a little "off."

To be honest she's a tiny bit of a mess.

She's underweight (triangular) and she came with scabbing under the jaw that looks like she's been rubbing. So far I've just sterilized it with cotton swabs a couple times without handling her and then let her be to acclimate. I know it'll be better when she sheds, but it sucks that there's scabbing regardless.

I ran a fecal (both a smear and a kit) and didn't see anything to indicate parasites, but what I've been most concerned about is that she's pooped for four days straight. My other snakes will pass a urate one and day poop the next, or maybe poop twice in one week if they've been holding on to it for a while, but never have I seen a snake poop for four days in a row - not even with the sick or injured snakes I treat occasionally. Too much pooping has me scratching my head.

Aside from that she seems ok. There's no roaming, she's been hiding since I got her and Tuesday is feeding day so I planned on offering. It's just the poop thing. I'm concerned there may be a gastrointestinal issue considering she's underweight?

I just wanted to know if this is just me going into "panic and save the animal" mode as I'm wont to do and it's nothing to be worried about before I traumatize her with a vet visit.

BP's grow a different rates. some are monster feeders and others are not. they're such fickle but lovable lil things. do u have her care records for feeding, weight, shed, poop, etc to help pinpoint any issues?

she's a gorgeous girl. chin rubs happen but will get better with each successive shed. the pooping is a concern but your tests seems hopeful. she's still new to you. maybe she just needs a good hearty meal. i'm sure u will feel better once u hit the trifecta - feeding, pooping (check x 4) and shedding but QT her regardless.

hopefully others will chime in on the pooping thing. keep us updated.
