Questions about RBI or AP cages
I have some questions because I am thinking of switching finally over to a PVC cage. My choices are narrowed down between Reptile Basics' 2x4 x 15" and a T10 Animal Plastics enclosure. I had a great email reply from AP about some basics and found they do offer an LED bar which RBI does as well.

the cost of each are very similar once you factor in lock and light bar so that isn't an issue.

    My questions are:

Does anyone know the shipping costs (I am in west Tennessee) for either of these. I can't find a definitive answer if shipping is included or how much it is.

Does anyone have experience with RBI RHPs? I am thinking of a 40 watt for a T10 size enclosure or equivalent from RBI but I am wondering if an 80 watt would be overkill.

Anyone have any experience with the material used by RBI? I know AP has really good quality so they may end up being the better choice since cost is pretty much equal and I am not in a hurry to get it shipped to me.

Boaphile has 60+ pvc cages and shipping is free. I live in Tennessee as well. I just ordered from them. Cages are not built until you pay for them.

Both companies should be able to provide you with a shipping estimate if you send them your address.

Regarding the RBI radiant heat panels, I would go with the 80 over the 40 since you are going with taller enclosures, and it's better to have extra heat available if needed. Well worth the little extra cost for the panel now instead of trying to find the added warmth if you need it later.

I use RBI 80 Watt RHP's in my AP T8 cages. Works like a dream.

Thank you all for the advice on 80 watt. I think I will go that route. I am waiting back to hear form AP about shipping. AP and RBI are my only options, boaphile isn't something I want to use.

Shipping from AP is $45-55. Its right on their website http://www.apcages.com/home/ in the listing for the T10. To further narrow down the exact cost follow up with them.

This is good info that I'm going to refer back to when I need to upsize my current PVC enclosure. Mine was purchased from another dealer not mentioned on this thread at Repticon. Is there a big difference between the pvc enclosures as AP, Reptile Basics and Boaphile? At 1st glance, they look very similar. Since I struggle w/ ambient temps, I think I'll definitely want to explore getting one w/ both a UTH and RHP.
