    Moss
So I know I was recommended moss to keep up humidity, or wet rags (I've been using rags but I wanted to see how well moss worked too) and I told my mother that I needed some sphagnum moss. Well, she and our roommate (who is super cool he's like a mixture of old school hippie and goth and loves Calliope) are gardeners and they said they could just give me some cause they had some. Well I was cleaning out Calliope's tank today, new substrate, cleaning her hides and everything, and Levi (our roommate) gave me this. He said the brown and green stringy ones were both sphagnum, but that he thought I'd like the spongey green one too but he didn't tell me what type I f moss it was. What do you guys think?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...11db7c16ef.png
Im still using the rags, I wouldn't want to put something in her tank before making sure it's all okay, but I just wanted to see if any of you guys knew what kind of moss the sponges one is, if it's safe for her tank, and would the green moss, or the brown moss (both sphagnum according to him) would be better.

Oh! Okay so he just now told me that they're all sphagnum. Now I guess me only question is which one is better? Are any of them better than the other in any way or should it be all fine?

I'd also like to know if there's anything I really need to know about keeping moss in there. He said its alive still, and I think i can see roots on it. If it's alive do I still change out the substrate once a month? Is there anything I need to look out for with it? I'm really excited for this and I really think the moss is pretty but I want to make sure Calliope is safe too. Okay I'll wait until someone else posts before I come back to this thread now. I'm just very excited.
