Any ideas on what this could be??
Male piebald apartment age is 10.5 mth old. Just purchased him fee weeks ago. up I'm pretty sure it's irritation from mites that he had a small case of that I treated but never saw any like this on my previous snakes. Running 90 on hot side about 80 on cool side Laying on zoo med chips. Humidity runs between 50-70% depending on dayhttps://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...906_233154.jpg

could it be bites that got infected? those are definitely not normal-looking mite bites.
you should only be using paper towel as substrate until the issue is 100% taken care, and then wait another few months to ensure nothing creeps back up before switching back to your normal substrate.
i have no first-hand knowledge of mite problems, only what i've researched, but honestly i'd take that animal to a reputable vet; better safe than sorry.

It honestly looks like when my girl got stuck in a tube of a horrible tree I had in her cage. And we had to like work her through it. A few days later it bruised that looked just like that, but it was one small spot on her spine where she was stuck.
Could she have gotten stuck in anything and wiggle her way out? Is it on the thickest part of her body?
Wait till she sheds it might go away.
