F/T - How long to thaw?

I've been leaving my F/T out at room temp for approx 2 hours and then using a hairdryer to heat them up for a couple seconds? Is there a rule of thumb for the amount of time to let them sit at room temp.

I put mine in a sealed plastic bag in a container of hot water. takes 20-40 minutes depending on the size. Bigger rats take longer than fuzzies obviously.

Or if you have any way to take temp just thaw and hit with a blow dryer for about 10 seconds until it's around 100 degrees

Takes me 3-4 hours to thaw a pile of rodents. Longest I've left them out is probably 7-8 hours. A little longer is better than not long enough.

Put the frozen in a ziploc bag and stick it in the fridge the day before. When it's dinner day, put bag with rodent in a mason jar (or larger if bigger than a small rat) and let it soak in hot tap water for 20-30 minutes. That's how I prep mine and it works every time.

I put mine in a sealed ziploc bag with air removed, then put that in a mason jar that has a handle and fill it with hot water, then put that cup in a big bowl of hot water, that way it stays sunk below hot water instead of floating in the cup. That way if the water in the cup cools off the hot water in the bowl keeps warming it. It takes about 5-10 minutes for small mice and about 20 for a small rat and our snakes haven't refused food yet.

I set them out in the room before I go to work. I have a fan blowing over facing te snakes to get them worked up. The smaller rats I put in a pile to slow the thawing. Then I warm them in a bowl of hot water.

Zip lock bag on the counter 3-4 hours. Then bag gets put into hot water while I spot clean the cage, they get weighed and the rat magically appeared while they were being weighed. She knows the drill. She is out of her hide looking for me about 4pm lol

Thanks for the responses. I had my 3rd feeding last night after thawing the mouse at room temp for about 2 hours and warming w/ a hairdryer for 10 seconds. Hopefully that was enough time. I haven't tried using hot water.

In any case, my BP waited for me to leave the room before he ate. I don't know how soon after I left but I know the mouse was gone this morning ;)
