I'm thinking about investing in these for my snakes.

Wow -those look really cool. Could definitely see small anoles, geckos, or frogs in these - maybe even some small snakes like De'kays Brown snakes or ring necks...but wouldn't a ball crush anything plant related? I've seen very few bio-active type cages for the heavier snakes. Or were you meaning a regular ball setup but using all the high-tech sensors and such? Either way - very cool things

Yeah. Not using the live plants. Just better control of heat and humidity.

That looks awesome. The only one that looks like it would be able to house an adult ball is the "grand" version, and I cringe to think about how expensive that will be sonsidering its size and high-techness!! However! If it turns out to be comparable to the cost of a standard AP cage with sensors etc., I think I might be investing!!

Friend and I calculated that for the cost to buy the right size of these for a full grown BP, you could get everything needed to best equip a t8 or t10 animal plastics enclosure including a RHP and a nice proportional heat controller like a hepstat 2 and it would cost less than 3/4 of one of these

The terra is far too small (24.65” x 15.00” x 14.00”). The only one that would meet the requirements is the grand that that will retail for $999

Yeah. I'm sure the price would be high but tax refund season is around the corner lol

One other small thing is that due to the size of the grand unit it requires freight shipping cost which will amount to around $250 in addition to the estimated $999 cost (not including substrate mixes and plants.

If you still are interested in getting one (the grand is the only unit that meets the size needs of a fully grown ball python), here is the link for the biodude's page. BTW he carries a kit for reptile setups as well

An extra large, 36" tall Exo-Terra would be much less even after shipping, and look almost as nice.
