When you think you have a normal Ball Python..?
So, I have recently taken ownership of a beautiful 4 year old BP. I did not know anything about BPs or snakes for that matter a few weeks before receiving him and I quickly did as much research as I could to be prepared for his arrival
He seems to be very comfortable and has even gotten used to me, showing no signs of fright or anxiety when I handle him / hangout with him.

So he totally looks like a normal BP to me,and im almost 100% sure he is, but the previous owners spent 275$ on him from the breeder they got him from. They didnt care enough to find out if he was a morph at the time, so no one knows for sure.

I don't think he is because he looks so normal, but I know normal BPs can be bought for as low as 20$, usually around 40-80$ being 'average'?

I also don't consider myself an expert(defintely still new to most of this..) by any means and can only guess what qualities constitute 'normal'.

So Im really just wondering if he is some kind of special morph that happens to look VERY similar to normal which would justify that price or if they just bought a normal BP and got ripped off or from a high end breeder? Maybe thats why hes such a sweet and loving BP.

you need to host the images on a website like Imgur.com

or if you have the photo on your smartphone, download the app Tapatalk and you can easily upload it from there.

Put a picture into your gallery then link to it.

Some snakes look normal, unless you know what to look for. In this case you are paying for what you can make with it, not what it itself looks like. On the other side of the coin there are normals that look amazing however they will only produce normals when bred. I work a lot with phantoms and enchis which can be boring ugly snakes as single gene animals, but when you pair them with other stuff beautiful things happen.
