Hello! Lurker turned member!

Hello everyone. I've been reading posts (sometimes going several years back in some of the subforums) and finally decided to join.

I'm a 24 year old female and pet sit/dog walk full time and keep snakes as a hobby. As a teen, I had a lot of generic, "normal" snakes (normal ball pythons, corn snakes, king snakes, red tail boa, western hognoses) and did some small scale breeding for "fun." I gained a lot of knowledge by volunteering at a family owned reptile store and helped at expos. Later in my teens, I had to rehome everything (long story, short I had some health problems and couldn't care for them properly). Of course, once a reptile enthusiast, always a reptile enthusiast, so after 4 years without, I finally got my "first" snake again (being in a much better spot) just over 3 years ago, and am back in full swing again. So this should be my first year producing again, but at a (for lack of better word) much higher scale (yay being an adult buiness owner!)

So, I guess that all for now, but of course, here's the current list of the critters:

Ball pythons

0.1 black pastel het pied
0.1 mojave poss.het pie

0.1 pastel genetic stripe

Welcome! A was a lurked for a long time before joining too :P I hope to breed one day ad well but I'm a lot farther off then you are. I'm excited to see all the little noodles you end up making! ^-^

I like your taste in snakes! :gj: The first three almost sounded like my collection. I started with a male pied and a few het pied females and it grew from there. Actually hoping to get eggs from my Spider het pied girl soon. I've been breeding her since November, but she's been holding out on me.

Thank you. My first one getting back into it was the female stingerbee (Craigslist). I've always loved pieds and back when I went to my first show, I remember seeing a bumblebee for either 1,500 or 2,500, so that was way out the question. And I must say, when I see some hatchling ads (like spieds), it's nice to know I can "make my own" without having to buy them

Welcome to the forum and welcome back to the hobby! I had to re-home all my animals years ago as well, due to personal problems and not being able to care for them. I am also in a much better place now and started back into the hobby a little while back. Glad you joined and hope to see some pics of your yellow anaconda. Definitely on my wishlist!

My spider girl may not have been my first, but I love their personalities. None of my spiders have ever been aggressive and they're always great eaters.

This is Elaine and she's a sweetheart. She's a bit derpy sometimes, but she wouldn't harm a fly... unless it smelled like a rat. She'll eat anything. She's my spider het pied and also my biggest girl right now. Tipping the scales at 2100-2200g. I can't imagine my collection without at least one spider.

Your wish is granted! He's a little bigger now.

I named him Buns (since my anaconda don't want none unless you got buns, hun).
