    Got bit while feeding..... lol
So, I'm a dumb arse apparently. I though it was a good idea to dangle a mouse with my hand in front of my baby retic...... after all he's just little...... just kidding. Dude has crazy bad aim and went straight for my pinky lol! Im glad he got me now when he's a baby. I'll defiantly be more careful of feeding him in the future lol!

Lol wait until they get bigger, their aim doesnt really improve. Caesar comes shooting out of his cage swaying like Stevie Wonder on a case of Red Bull. I use BBQ tongs for his guinea pigs or recently i have just been quickly laying his stuff on top of the opposite hide is in and quickly shutting the door and letting him find the food on his own lol.

Is it vision?? I hold the tail in my hand. The corn has managed to fall half out of the enclosure himself in the process, but the Colubrids and the Rosy all have good aim. I've never been tagged.

I think retic feeding is a little different than corn snAke.

Always use tongs (for f/t) for whatever species no matter the size - good rule of thumb. Save your own thumb. haha Glad it was just a baby bite.

I feed Phyllis with a pair of 40" snake tongs and even still have had one or two feedings where she missed and came a solid 2' out of the cage. Wouldn't even consider feeding her by hand, no way

I would never feed a larger snake by hand, I just got this retic and he wouldn't eat the last few times I've offered. So today I waved a live one in front of him. And bang, he ate three fuzzy mice
