New Guy hiding but not hiding
Picked up my little guy 2-3 months old is my guess on Sunday(3 days ago). He is in an Exo-Terra 24x18x12 temps/humidity are on par. I have 2 reptile basic small hides on both ends of tank, cork bark in the middle, leaves hanging from all 3 sides and all 3 sides are covered from the outside with black paper.

The concern that i have right now is that he has been in the corner behind the hide on the cool side since Monday night.
I have not really seen him roaming around the cage at all the usual sign of stress but he has not moved from that spot at all. Should i be worried though if he hasn't gone in his hides yet? He is technically hiding and not roaming around just odd that he
hasn't gone into the hides at all.

Some snakes don't use hides. I have one that literally shoves his hide out of the way from on top of the UTH spot and lays out in the open.

I got my snake yesterday and haven't seen him since ;) He's been under the same hide since I put him in (.....I think)

He's fine. He's just a chilled little dude.

Totally agree with the others.... If he's settled in one spot, and temps are good, he's happy, and just chilling out and taking in the new home. It may take him a week or so and then some evening you'll see him out exploring the tank, I'll bet.

As long as husbandry is good, don't sweat it. He'll find his spots and tend to stick to them

just some more info about the temps.

Digital thermometer with probe over UTH 88-91, digital thermometer/hygrometer on cold side 79-82 63% humidity and laser temp gun says 85-88 on substrate in hot hide and 78-80 on substrate in cold hide.

Perfect. One of my dorks thinks she's hiding, but the only thing in the hide is her head. The rest is just flat-out laying there.
