So i had my second escapee...
Well, looks like Dottie is smarter than I thought. She figured out how to wedge her head between the litter dam and the door and pull her head back to slide the door open enough to fit her body in and push the door open enough to escape. Being sick, I slept in and when I woke up to check on everyone, I saw Dotties door slid open a little bit and she was gone. I checked around and saw her rump hanging out from under the TV stand. I moved it and grabbed her and she just looked at me. I put her back and she drank some water and I saw trying to do the head wedge trick again. So I ended up using the lock on her cage. She gave up after a while and went back into her hide lol. Here I thought Dottie was kind of derpy and turns out she is probably the smartest of the snakes lol.

:sarcasm: Geesh - SOME people just aren't good snake owners LMAO :sarcasm:

Glad you found her so quickly and hope you're feeling better. Funny, because I was just wondering if they could slide the glass on the AP enclosures. I figure I've got a while before any of my crew are big enough to slide to door open.

Snakes are smart at escaping! Wanda somehow managed to pop one of her vents out on Friday- luckily she just headed for the gap between her and Cinnamon's viv and curled up there. I don't understand how she got the vent out though?? Even I have to push it hard from the back, and I have fingers!! Glad you got her back quick and safe though!!

From what I've seen the cleverest ones in my collection are also the most inquisitive- the Dwarf Burm and the Super Dwarf Purple Albino Retic . Ive seen both wedging themselves inbetween the viv sides and wriggling aggressively trying to force the viv doors open or sideways

Well that's the funny part is Dottie is only about 4.5'. I figured if anyone was going to escape it would the retic again But he seems to push at the middle support post when he is hungry. Dottie went the other route and dug in the corner lol.
