animal plastics T25 cage and shipping costs?
I currently keep my boa in a t10 but I am thinking about getting a T25 for 399. Shipping is a big concern. I was reading that one person paid almost 200 just for the shipping for one of the large cages..Anyone get one shipped? What did the shipping run you?
Also what size RHP would you get for something that big? I currently us 80watts in the T10.
    Thx.:)

Shipping cost depends where you're having it shipped to. Mine is (finally) supposed to ship either tomorrow or next Monday-Tuesday. Shipping is running me about $170. I'm going to be using a ph125 from pro products to heat it.

Shipping for me on my 3 T25s was $319. Shipping for you should be cheaper as you are in the midwest and Ali told me shipping over the mountains is more expensive. Think one cage was like $200ish, 2nd cage was extra $50 and 3rd cage was extra $70. Neither of us could figure why it cost more to add a 3rd cage than a 2nd cage but that was what Ali's shipping thing read from them.

As for heating, I use only flexwatt for all my T25s, T10s and T8s. If you are using a RHP, it will depend on your room temps but I would lean on the bigger side as its better to have more power than needed than too little power if needed. With that said, I would guess something that is about 2' long and 2' wide unless you got a shelf which then I would go thinner.

    JM,
What did that panel run you if you don't mind me asking?

I'm ordering mine today and I'm guess it will be the same model.

    Thanks.

I believe it was around $145ish after shipping. I paid by check because bob offers a 10% discount for orders paid by check instead of card. He originally said I could go with an 88watt panel but said that the larger panel would work too if I wanted to have some versatility down the road if needed.
I'd guess for your taller cage he'd recommend the same one I'm getting.

He had them in stock and mine should ship today!

Bet its because you ordered yours a while back so he had more built.

Thanks for the info the price with shipping was about right on!

I think he had to make more recently because mine apparently got lost between him and AP. They went to finish my cage and had no panel for it so had to contact bob, he had to retrace his order records, make a new panel, send it to AP... hence my 10-12 week cage order now coming to a conclusion (hopefully) late next week at 19-20 weeks after ordering

I didn't realize shipping was that much for these cages. I was lucky enough to purchase my T8 weeks before the NARBC in Illinois. Asked Ali if I could pick it up there which is what I did. I'm going to time my purchases around October and March so I can pick them up instead.

Yeah, it's because anything I think over 5' has to be shipped via freight and strapped to a pallet. Significantly drives up the shipping costs
