    Scale Rot?!?
So I checked on my BP today and noticed these brown spots on his belly. There are only the two of them and I've never seen scale rot before. Is that what it is?? If so, how do I fix it?? I clean his tank regularly and his humidity is in the right range. He's currently going through shed though. Am I just overreacting and overthinking things? He's just a normal. I believe that the place in the first picture was there when I first got him, but I'm not sure about the second spot. I just want to make sure that it isn't in fact scale rot [emoji29]

that doesn't look good but i can't tell what it is. being on the belly is concerning. if the snake is in shed right now i'd wait it out and see if it's still there. it could just be a dirty scale from substrate...but you use apsen, correct?

No. I use EcoEarth coconut substrate.

i'm pretty positive it's not scale rot from these pics but i'm far from an expert on these things. i'd just wait the shed out and see. no need to stress right now. :)

It could be but even if it was the case that's not something I would be overly worried about, keep the animal clean, avoid damp substrate and it will be gone with the next shed.

It can also be the substrate getting under some scales, pretty common issue when using loose substrate.
