    Reptichip Alternative SOS
I've just about finished my massive cage set up. I've always used Aspen and Reptichip based on species. It seems I can't get my hands on enough Reptichip until mid-September (when I can't take a road trip to pick it up) but I need it within 2 weeks so I can have it done and everyone out of sterilite tubs before my teaching schedule takes all my time.
Looking at alternatives, ShaneSilva recommends Coconut Coir.
    I need serious quantities.
Is this the right product? Is it more like Reptichip or soil? If it is textured more like soil than little chips, is it as easy to spot clean and use as the Reptichip? (Aspen goes all over the place because it's so light and fluffy...and I don't want to buy a product that is as big of a messy headache.)
I found this offered for $8.89 a brick with free shipping by Walmart: "11 lb. Coconut Coir Block Soilless Grow Media".
    Thanks for feedback in advance.

I know it's probably not what you're looking for but I really like the Herptopia/Reptile Prime coco bedding....hey - I can bring you aspen from my local guy if you want?

Let me see what I can get. If I have to go with Aspen, I'll hunt around for quantity discounts and maybe your guy could help with that? Aspen needs a lot more switching out than Reptichip!

I'll message him when I get out of work in the morning and ask - about the reptichip and aspen.

The Buffalo/Niagara reptile expo has a reptichip vendor listed as attending the Aug 27 show. I'm sure if you call them they could have as much as you want there and not have to pay shipping.

Amazon Prime will ship it for free, but it's $24 a brick and I need a lot.

I have the same stuff that Shane recommends, it's called Pro Coco. Identical to reptichip. It's on snakemuseum.com for $12.99/block, forget how much shipping is. Might be able to find it in bulk for cheaper if you buy a pallet directly from the manufacturer?

Pro coco does sell in bulk for a good price but be prepared to spend about 2k for that deal
