    Super Lesser bug eyes?
I am in the market for a female pure white BEL. I spoke with a breeder that told me that super lessers or butters produce the most consistent white snakes, but they can have issues with bug eyes. So, he typically breeds lesser/butter x mojave to produce BELs. Well, I was recently notified that he may have just produced a super lesser.

I have asked if it has any defects, and I am waiting to hear back.

How common are super lessers with bug eyes? I looked on google and couldn't find any pictures of ones with bug eyes. Also, can they develop the bug eyes later in life, or should you be able to tell right after they hatch?

You would know if it had bug eyes sa soon as it hatched. And I might add that some of them grow into the eyes and as adults you can barely tell. But not all. Bug eyes is fairly common in super lesser/butter. Stupid phone double posted

Thanks for that picture! Thats the first one with bug eyes I have seen! I am unsure if Im interested in the snake I was asking about anymore. I was thinking it would be priced similar to his other BELs, but he is asking for $100 more because she might also have pastel, GHI, or spider. I don't plan on breeding her, so I think I might be better off waiting for a lesser mojave.

This is what I thought for quite a long time as well until a board member here (I am kicking myself because I cannot remember who) had a super lesser develop bug eyes at a later stage.

Hmm never Saw one do that. Have seen them grow out of them but I don't breed lesser to lesser. So I have no first hand experience. And nothing surprises me with ball pythons anymore seems they don't ever do what you expect.

I have four super Butter I hatched this year, no eye issues. The male has color issues though.
