    What snake is this?
    Sorry for the bad pic. I live in Colorado on the western slope (Glenwood-Grand Junction) and I saw this little guy. My family says it isn't a garter snake or a grass snake, amd I know it isn't a milk snake (obviously haha), so what is it? I am not a native born, so I have little knowledge on Colorado's snakes, and not a lot on all of the different snakes in general, so I have no idea.     As a CO native I can tell you it is not a nightsnake. What you have is a wandering garter, Thamnophis elegans vagrans.

    When i looked through the colorado snakes page it didn't have that on there, but okay. That's still cool!
