Hide size for full grown male
I am in need of ordering some larger hides for my full grown male ball python. Would xl be large enough or should I go for the xxl?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...72f8dc304c.png

They are never really full grown. I have adult males ranging from 800 grams to just over 2000 grams. It is going to depend on the weight of your animal. That said, most of my adults do not use hides and for those that do I either use milk jugs cut in half, egg tubs, or kitty litter pans from the dollar store.

I use a tank setup so his warm hide he uses a lot.

If he is using one, ball him up and measure how much area he is taking up and compare that to the tub dimensions. That will be the minimum size which odds are he will outgrow. If you are going to actually buy something, it is better to go bigger because you can always stuff the hide with paper or whatever to take up extra space.

I use large that fit all my ~1000g males and my 2200g female I had. (It fit the female "just right")

The XL is way too large generally for a male bp. And the XXL is more for like 7~8 feet long thick-bodied boa constrictors, to give you an idea lol. I bought the XXL for my dumeril's boa to use for life, and she is still very far from fitting snug in it, and she's almost 6 feet long.
