    Leo's can't digest mealworms?
A friend of mine has told me that feeding mealworms to leo's is a bad idea because they can't digest the hard exoskeleton. I'd like to get some other veiws on this matter though. Let me know what you think.

I have raised 1.1 leo's on an exclusive mealworm diet and they have grown up just fine. I do take extra means to gutload the mealworms before feeding/refridgeration though.

leo's have a pretty tough digestive system. it is true that for many geckos and other lizards mealworms aren't the best food item because of their tough outer shells but leos seem to do fine with them. many breeders and hobbyists feed only mealworms and have fat healthy leos.

Thank you so much. I feel better about feeding mealworms to my girls.

Mealworms do have a lot of shell, so GUTLOAD GUTLOAD GUTLOAD so they get the most out of each one.
