A Boa Mutation With The Color And Markings Of A Green Anaconda
I have had this vague idea for a world's first Boa mutation for awhile now, but i'm not sure which gene combinations might be able to accomplish such a thing. As far as the patterns go, I have seen many Motleys with circular shaped patterns down their backs, depending on how your eyes perceive the markings.

Here is a pretty good example:

As for how to make those circle patterns black (and, possibly more circular) and the rest of the snake green, I don't have a clue! What do you guys think? If anyone comes up with a way to create such an awesome mutation and produces them, please don't forget you owe me at least one of the hatchlings for the idea! lol :P

They already have produced boa/anaconda hybrids. Goggle Boaconda.

Just like they have produced green tree python and carpet python hybrids called Carpondros.

I'm waiting for the retic and burm hybrid called Titanopython :P

I havent looked too far into it but arent "borneo bateaters" burm x retic crosses?

Yup! I've seen the Boaconda hybrids before and they are stunningly beautiful! I've been curious how big they get. Do you have any idea? If they stay under 8 feet I would get one of those in a heartbeat! I would imagine the males probably would, which could then be bred back to a Boa female to create dwarfed offspring, yeah? I would imagine they aren't very available yet and extremely expensive. But, hybrids aside, I would be interested in finding out how a similar look might be achieved...

You sir are right. I was kind of making a joke in that you combine a huge snake with another huge snake to produce a gigantic snake :)

No idea about them really as i just ran across them awhile back but never pursued it. Thought it was neat and that was about the end of my research lol.

You'd probably want to aim for making the saddles (the dark squares) into circles. The 'circles' you are seeing are the base color of the entire snake which is what you'd want to make green. I haven't seen the green color in boas (yet) though so that's probably trickier than the pattern. A rather common normal pattern variation is 'circle back ladder tail' CBLT, however it isn't always inheritable from the parents. Also look at the Aztec morph, you may like that pattern if you like motleys.
