This is the mother. She is an older unit. Her gene will be called the "Figure 8". I've showed her off before, never really calling her anything other than a Project Female. It's time to change that...

What made you decide there was something genetic there to work with?
what tipped you off?

It is subtle but that clutch has great color, time is clearly showing the dramatic effect subtle morph can have with the right pairings and especially as the generations go in and the combos get 4 or 5 or genes in there.

I have been breeding snakes for nearly 37years. The mother spoke to me with her pattern, blushed head, dark and light spotting, the reduced patterning, the black backing in the rear end and some other features. The animals that these kids will make, ie: the Figure 8 Super Gravels, those are going to be real sweet to put eyes on! I'm impatiently waiting on that...
