    Banded question
Hi everyone, new to the site. Owned ball pythons for ten years now but never really got much into the banded snakes. Recently I acquired a young female banded. I had a breeder I know say he felt it was just a normal, that it wasn't worth keeping her to prove the banding. Her mother is a CH Banded, father is Banana het pied. Was wondering if you guys would all be willing to give your opinions.

Yes it is a normal, yes there is some banding, however that does not mean it is genetic (it could). Even if they prove to be genetic they are still not worth more than a normal in the pet trade. Now having them around for selective breeding when pairing with animals such as Enchi and enchi combos or other mutation is not a bad thing, but most people just don't hold onto normal for breeding anymore.

I have some genetic banded DH Albino Pied that produce some of the nicest animals when it comes to Albinos and even Hets.

She was given to me as a gift, I wasn't sure if there was much value to her other than The fact that her mother was a wild hatch with no morphs in her and she is quite large. Father was a beautiful banana though.
