    Which herpstat is better?
So for herpstats.....intro+ or 1basic? There is only a difference of $5. Amazon is way more expensive than spider.com or is there a better website?

    Thanks.

the intro+ comes with the safety features and safety relay that the 1basic does not. IMO i'd get the intro+. i have 2. 😀

I usually just buy mine direct from spyderrobotics.com

Read through the differences on their webpage to make sure you're getting all the features you want.

Personally i would just spend the extra and spring for a Herpstat 1. I buy all mine straight from Dion at Spyder Robotics. Actually ordered 3 temp probes monday for my 3 T25 cages since i dont feel like pulling out probes from my other cage stack and i just opted for normal mail delivery and they actually got here a day ahead of schedule.

You can't go wrong with either however between the intro + and the herpstat one basic I would recommend the intro + for the security feature.

The intro plus has a built in safety relay to help protect against failure the Herpstat 1 basic does not.

Output wise you are looking at 350 watts for the Intro + and 700 for the herpstat 1 Basic, so knowing your need will be important as well.

I recommend to buy direct from Spider Robotics

I think intro plus is a better value, but they are different form factors also. Intro plus flush mounts into a hole, makes for a clean look on a rack or incubator if you can make that happen. Not that you can't just have the intro sitting on top and work fine, but the herpstat 1 is has feet and is meant to sit on top of something. Herpstat 1 has a couple extra features in the software as well.
