Snake active and laying in water???
So recently my ball is acting stranger than usual, he's active at night (which is quite normal) but the thing I'm most concerned is that it's laying inside his water tub. What does this mean?

Does he do if often? They do this every once in a while like if its too hot or sometimes if they are about to shed but if he does it a lot for extended periods of time it could mean mites. Look in his water after he gets out and look for little specks and if you look around, particularly on his face around his eyes, you might be able to see them moving around if they are there.

Sorry but from what I've read when a Royal / Ball python spends a lot of time in water in very often suggests they've got MITES ...
You can try wiping it down with some white kitchen roll paper and the mites should be easily visible on the paper if there are any ... also check carefully in the water bowl ..
I'm presuming your temps are correct and it's not simply trying to cool down , of course .

If a BP eats something too big they will get bloated and sluggished, and to relieve the pressure they will tend to soak to give themselves some relief.
