Nicaraguan Dwarf or Hypomelanistic Central American Boa
Are they both red tail boas? How big does the Nicaraguan Dwarf gets to be? The guy from XYZReptiles said the Hypomelanistic Central American (Female) will get to be 5ft long, is this true? The Nicaraguan Dwarf is being sold at "Snakes at Sunset". I like the Hypomelanistic color better, the Nicaraguan is darker in color. If the Hypomelanistic will get to be 8ft or 9ft long then I'll just get the Nicaraguan. I don't want a big boa, this will be my first boa. I only had a corn snake. That's my experience level. Thanks in advance everyone.

Central hypos do tend to stay smaller, but like with anything you will find extremes on both end of the spectrum. Nics are on the smaller side as well generally.

I have a hypo CA adult female. She fits nicely in a 54-qt under-bed tub. If she's over five feet long it's not by much.

She eats one 8 oz rat or rabbit every four weeks and is just a sweetheart to handle.

Thank you Randal and BCR for your response. I really want the hypo more than the Nicaraguan, I'm glad you guys put my worries to ease. I think I will run out tomorrow and try to find a 6 qt tub to start, a water dish and a hide then I will order her. I have to find some heat tape also.
