    Any suggestions...? (Pics.)
This is Thor and Casper's setup:

They both have undertank heaters and during the day, a small lamp on top. The warm/day temp is about 90F in both, cool side mid 70s, with a high humidity level of 86%.

Now that we have them both where they're going to stay for a while, is there anything else that we should look into? Any suggestions on anything, dont hold back...?

If your daytime temps are that low, what are your nighttime temps? I would get those temps up a bit. 92-94 warm side....82-84 cool side. The enclosure should never get below 75 deg. Also, just to keep a more constant temp level in the enclosure, you might want to use a black/red/blue light or a ceramic heat emitter instead of the current light. That way you can leave it on 24/7 and you will not have the temp fluctuations due to the light being turned off at night.

And I didn't see a digital thermometer/hygrometer....I would suggest getting one of those too. You can monitor temps and humidity much better with that....and they are only about 14.00 at walmart.

You said dont hold back :D

ha...other than that I really like the setup :)

Sounds good, We'll work on the heat. We do have a digi thermo/hygro in each enclosure. I need to get some more velcrow tape, so I can move the one in Caspers tank, the warm spot is on the other side now.

Keeping those digital thermometers in a bp enclosure is a pain.....my bps always liked to rip them down :) I tried everything....velcro...double sided tape....hot glue...superglue....nothing could withstand the wrath of the mighty thor :)

Well, knock on wood, mind havent moved. I think I should move them down some, so I could get the mean temp, away from the lights.

Ya....I always tried to keep all my thermometer at about 1 inch off the bottom of the enclosure....at ball python height :)

lostboi, i use a IR light 24/7 and it works great. it may also help to bring down that humidity too. 86% is kinda steep. i also bought a 4$ dimmer switch for my IR light so i could turn it down or up. it helped a lot but takes a few days to get it set were u need it. good luck.

Yeah 86% is way too high. The ideal humidity lvl should be around 60%.

86% isn't all that bad if things in the cage are not actually damp, and the humidity is just in the air. They live in rodent burrows/termite mound thingys/underground in the wild and I'd expect that they are able to deal with somewhat high humidity in the air. Keep in mind that those are glass tanks and I really wonder if the reading is accurate in a house with central air and heat lamps on during the day.

I've found those things pretty accurate. That's what they're designed to do. 86 is high anyway you look at it. I wouldn't want to tempt fate, respiratory infections are not something to take lightly.
