    US Natives
Hey everyone. I've recently started steering my collection of animals towards native US species. I've had my native fish stream tank going for a few years now and thought that it would be neat to start keeping herps that are also native to the US. I've got a corn snake already, but now I'm looking towards native lizards. Does anyone keep native lizards and if so, what would be the "best" to have?

NOTE: When I say "native," I don't mean wild-caught. I'm just trying to keep species that are naturally living in the US. Thanks!

Alligator lizards are neat critters, as are glass lizards, swifts, broadheaded skinks. Green anoles are pretty nifty too and fun animals to have in a naturalistic setup - males especially with their posturing.

We have these in Az. I have always found them interesting as far as lizards go.

Intriguing. Do you know if these are very common in the pet trade?

Make sure it's legal to keep the native wildlife(even if captive bred, some places it's still illegal).

I'm a big fan of the Eastern Collared Lizard. :) Good color, easy to keep.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Looks like I've got some options to ponder here. [emoji1303]
