    Moved rooms. Question.
So, today was room move day. Snakes are now on the main floor. Because of where the tanks are located, they are close to baseboard heaters at one end, so we figured, let that end be the hot side since it needs to be warmer anyway, which meant flipping the 530g girls tank around.
We cleaned them out at the same time so they are both up and circling, checking out all their clean stuff and wondering where they've been moved to.

Do you think changing the side where the hot side was will throw the snake off, or shoukd she adjust? She was fasting for a long time from March to end of may and has finally started eating f/t again and I don't want her to go off.
The adult fasted from Christmas to June and will no longer take f/t. We are doing live for now and hoping she will switch back. There's a rat living in my dining room because of the holiday, (couldn't pick one up on feeding day) and I'm trying not to bond with it....

I don't see it being an issue, but with BPs I guess you never know. I change the setup a little bit almost every time I clean any of my snake's enclosures. They always settle right in after exploring a bit. I've never had any refusals after changing things around, so hopefully you will be all set as well.

    Moved rooms. Question.
That's an interesting dilemma . I swap all the branches and pieces of bark around when cleaning and even swap pieces of bark around from different vivs - as it keeps them all interested . The Kings especially love it when they get a bark piece from another snake / species :)

I've never swapped the warm side though .....

All is well! Temps and humidity are good - the little girls humidity droped a bit so I just put some damp moss around her water bowl to help and everyone has settled in.
Little one ate her f/t and big girl ate her live rat.
The first night, the big girl wouldn't settle and kept circling. We took her out and held her for a few minutes and checked her Temps. I gave her a smooch and put her back in and she went right into a hut and to sleep. We joke that she was scared in a new room and needed a goodnight kiss, hahahaha.
She seems to have an extended feed mode this week, which she used to get with f/t meals, so hopefully she will switch back soon!!!
