    kinked tail??
One hatchling from my first clutch ever pipped today, so I cut the rest and I think my spinner blast may have a kink in its tail. The egg itself was small and had a hard mass on the side of it, like a slug, but when I candled it, it turned out to be viable so i incubated it. I'm wondering if a) it has a kinked tail, and b) if it does, is it because of the smaller egg?

Will this affect it's quality of life, breeding, selling value?

    Thanks!

As for why it could be anything. As for values. Breeding it should never be bred. Selling anything deformed should be found a pet home for very minimal charge or kept. quality of life will depend on if the kink is before or after the vent. If it's in front of the vent the snake may have issues

The term for the egg you are describing is boob egg, boob eggs are not unusual and are not an issue, I hatch some every year.

Animals don't kink because they hatch in smaller eggs (the can kink because of temp issue or genetic issue), as for the kink wait until it is out of the egg, you'd be surprised how sometime something that look wrong actually is not (optical illusion because of the position of the animal)

Once it's out you'll have a better idea.

You were right, no kink! Thanks for the information on the possible causes.
