Are you going for the record for new threads created by a noob?

If so, I think you have done it.

As for the snakes are you already thinking about breeding?

Not what I was going for exactly

And no,I'm just researching everything I can and the rarer morphs interest me, especially Garters who seem to be hard to find :/

It's just you've made many threads that are mostly about the same thing. I'm sure this question would have nicely fit one of them. You'll find when you keep things together that are related you will get better information than spreading it all around.

So when is the planning end and the buying begin?

It's a very misleading way to describe the snakes in my opinion. They list them as 66% het, then go on to say poss het for all this other stuff. The fact is, all genes listed are merely possibles - no guarantees they're actually het anything. Even the 66% just means there is a 2/3 chance that the snake is het, which makes it poss het as well.. It could be a fun pair to breed just to see what might pop up, but I personally wouldn't hold my breath for anything out of the ordinary/normal spectrum.

I'm wondering where did you see this ad? It does sound weird, since 66% poss or 33% poss or 5% poss is still just poss LOL. So writing some percentages and some without percentages is kinda sketchy?

Also yeah, I recommend just commenting in one of your threads about this (from now on). It's easier to keep track of and getting the right replies on what you're planning/doing in one thread!

het means nothing unless you plan to breed. Otherwise you're paying for "possible" het animals that you'll never get to see prove out. so basically you're paying extra for nothing

I think first before even thinking about buying a pair you might want to consider buying one animal and get some hands on experience with one.

You may decide that the species is not for you or get bored and one will be easier to rehire if that is the case.

If your intentions are breeding down the road then the further thing you want to do is do some research on genetics and possible outcomes.

Finally if you are looking for specifict mutations you will be much better off buying visuals or 100% hets, a pair of poss hets could be a long road to disappointment.

Thanks guys :) I'll make sure to keep questions on as few threads as possible.
Yeah,I've been looking at some California Red Sided Garters and some Flame Garters I like :)
It does seem a bit odd that they list some as 66% and than say Pos Her for others. I'll just go with a visible morph

I would go with the flame easterns. Although California red sideds are beautiful, they have some of the worst temperament in the garter world. No matter what I do my Cali still is terrified of me.
