    Reptile Avenger!!
Since I now have a crestie I am forced to go and get crickets from the local pet stores. (I refuse to keep any in great quantity - nasty little boogers) I now monitor the cresties and bps in the store while waiting for my crickets. While observing today I noticed a half eaten gecko. It was so terrible. Poor little thing. Half of the skin on it's abdomen had been bitten off. They had newborn cresties housed with many adults. I did get them to remove all babies, and it looked like only the one was badly hurt. :( They truely suck. I figure if I bug them enough maybe they'll actually house the poor critters correctly. Or I may get banned from the store.

If I could help it I wouldn't. I haven't been able to find a private pet store that sells small crickets. As soon as mine has moved on to bigger bugs I'll be able to do just that though.

It must be in the blood, I don't even buy from the local Petco but I drop in periodically to run herp police. During the last trip they pulled a dead, dehydrated RTB from the enclosure and proceded to pull another who looked to be headed in the same direction. On top of that they had the poor BP babies in an enclosure with ambient temps of 100 (that was the highest the temp strip read). The saddest thing was the employee I always see (while he takes care of the problems) seems in awe of my knowledge....stuff I learned while cruisin the web in a few nights. I keep pointing him to websites to look this stuff up...I'm actually printing out caresheets to give him next time I see him, maybe he'll read them in his spare time...grr....
