BRB PVC Enclosure Height?

Hi guys,

I am slowly getting pvc cages for all of my snakes and my female is next on the list. I want to get her a 4x2 AP cage, but am undecided on what height and whether or not she would use a shelf. All of my boas and my carpet have either 14" or 18" tall cages, with shelves, which they use frequently. I'm considering going with a shorter height (12") because my BRB seems pretty reclusive and I'm not sure how much she would use a shelf. That said, I could always put branches in the cage for her.

I'd like to get input from those of you that own BRB on what enclosure height you use and if your BRBs climb a lot if given the chance.

For the other cage options, I will probably go with recessed LED lighting, sliding glass locking doors, and a UTH / heat tape for belly heat.

Would also appreciate feedback on whether or not I should request only half the ventilation slots from AP... have heard that helps hold humidity better.

BRB's do like to perch and climb. They tend to be active at night, especially as babies. I would go with an 18" high enclosure if you can manage it.

I don't like 12"high enclosures as it's hard to reach into the back corners to clean, and it seems like that's where the snakes always poop.

Mine is in a 15 inch and that seems fine for him, I wouldn't go lower. He is active at night and always comes to his door when I come in the room looking for food.

I'm sure if I set him up take with things to climb he would.

As for the humidity I have a large soaking pool for him he stays in the majority of the day. Gives great sheds and I don't even mist unless he starts the shed process.

Do you think a BRB would use a shelf, or prefer branches / a pvc perch? I know AP won't install those, but I think I could find perch holders and install them myself.

Hanging vines and branches would be fine as long as they're well-secured.

Hello would it be ok to build a chicken enclosure around and over 4 fruit trees All 4 are orange trees and they do get allot of fruit that falls to the ground so would this in any way hurt the chickens Ãàäàíèå íà Òàðî «Êàðòà äíÿ»
