Reason that female coral glows are more valuable than males?
I'm wondering why the female coral glow is much more valuable than a male. I know it has something to do with the rarity of the female, because of male makers. However, what actual benefit would you have with a female vs a male. I would imagine there is some advantage in breeding, and not just rarity to justify the greater expense. Thanks in advance. Haven't been on here in ages! ;)

Not to bump... just as I posted my question I thought of a reason lol. Is it that breeding male coral to female coral is the best way to reliably create super, or homozygous coral glows?

Besides having a super cg already it is the only way to make super cg. Also it comes down to when you breed, you can have 1 male breed 5 females easily. So even if my only goal was super cgs, I'd be buying a lot more females than males. Making them more in demand. Male maker cgs are down in price but female makers are still up there with females themselves.
Just comes down to females lay eggs and you don't need as many males as you do females in breeding stock.

Oh that's interesting. I didn't know there were female makers! Is a female maker also possibly, or definitely a male?

So the female maker is male. And of course a female banana is needed to make a super. I'm wondering what would be worth breeding to my female albino, since the blue Lucy I had lined up for her died. I'm thinking a coral would work best. Any advice about that?

Female produce equal sex ratio, males however will either be male makers or female makers.
A female maker male is a male produced by a female, a male maker male is a male produced by a male.

I will answer this with a question for you: Do you like Albinos? Because an Albino C/G looks like a faded Albino
