    Guess what...
Maja laid her clutch. All that waiting and worrying !! She also seemed to run "late" for a couple of days, but I could have been off with my calculations.
    Here are a few pics.

    Now the wait begins :)

Maja is a Bumblebee and the proud father is a Super Blast.

btw. I know I've been "absent" for a while. My summers (starting early and running late) are always super busy with sets of family visiting from overseas and staying weeks at a time. On top of that there are other personal issues I have to deal with this year. Barely any time at all for internet the last few weeks. I have a bit of a break company wise, though, and will try to pop in more often...

I can't help but feel a little guilty for taking the eggs away from her.

I cleaned her up well and also cleaned/sanitized the tub and water dish thoroughly to make sure there is no scent of "eggs" left on her or her enclosure. But she still seems out of sorts. At first she was all over her tub looking for the eggs. Now she is "calmer" and yesterday she drank a lot. But she will "wrap" around a bit of the substrate (clean/fresh of course) and she is still jumpy.

When do you all attempt to feed a female after removing eggs? Days? A week? She is so...empty. And skinny. Can't wait for her to get a good feeding and get her condition back. ;)

I don't know if this is helpful or not, but one of my girls laid on the seventh, and ate a medium rat a week later. She searched for a couple of days and then seemed to settle back into her normal routine. She has eaten another rat and shed since then. I don't know if this is typical or not, but this is only my second clutch.

Congrats on the clutch! My gal always eats a few days after laying. She tends to be *hungry*!!!

Thank you all, and thanks for letting me know how your females did after laying their clutches. That was definitely helpful.
I will wait another couple of days and then attempt to feed her.

As is, she has stopped being restless and now just "chills" :)

I have 2 more females that "might" lay eggs. Pretty sure I caught one ovulating, and the other may be near ovulation.

This was Lestada during what I think was ovulation (24 May). It was even more apparent in person then in the pictures..
