Cool side temp too high

Hello all. I live in the desert in california and i noticed yesterday when i got home from work at 5 am that my boy ball python was wrapped around his bowl. Before anyone ask am i sure he is a boy, i got him from royal conctrictors so im pretty sure garrick sexed him right. My thing is we have been having high temp weather this past week and yesterday and today was the only times since i had him and saw this behavior. Yesterday before work i unpluged his cool side hide temp so it can drop but today i saw him this time out of the hide and laying on the side of it. Is there anyway to help drop the temp of the cool hide? I have him in a tub so i dont know what to do. His hot side hide is a steady 90 and my ambient is around 85 but even with my heat source off inside his cool hide is 90. So basically because of our hot summer its like he have two hot hides. Any help is appreciated

Turn on A.C.? Put a fan and bucket of ice in the room? He can't survive for days at 90 degrees with no way to cool down.

I spend more cooling mine than I do heating them. If your ambient is at least 84 you do not need any supplemental heating at all.

Just remove the hot spot and use a fan to circulate the air. No need to directly point it at the enclosure. When I get hot weather my snake room gets as high as 89 ambient temp so I do this and usually gets the ambient to 86 which will be perfectly fine.

With my corns, I put a 3/4 filled frozen water bottle in the vivs. Would that work for BPs?

Since you're in the desert a swamp cooler will be effective to help cool the air in the room.

No A/C? A few years back during a power outage it was super hot - close to 100*F - and my generator was enough for the refrig/freezer but not the A/C. Putting a frozen plastic water bottle in front of a box fan helped drop the room temps during the hottest part of the day.

Thank you all for your inputs. So i moved my whole enclosure to my hallway which is all tile and turned off my hot spot and my ambient onced settled came down to 86. My other question is that when i turn my fan on which i use to help out when my humidity gets too high, it makes it cooler but then my humidity drops super low when doing so. I place the fan not directly on my encloser and it still drios to 40 something. Is this o.k? During the day the temps are o.k and he never comes out of his hides maybe because he is sleep. But when i get off in the morning he is usually awoke with his head sticking out of his hide like normal and the temps are low being the sun is not out yet, but the last couple of days he will be totally out as if the temps are high hanging around his water bowl on the cool side. Idk maybe he likes being out more now. Wouldnt he be out of his hide and trying to cool him self down during the day at our highest temps? Or would he just stay sleep and disregard the high temps? Im confused. Thanks for all the help i appreciate it all.

Bro don't look into it so much. Sounds like you did good by posting, asking questions, moving your the tube and turning off the Heat Pad. My snakes are all up at 4-5am, they're nocturnal. They will either be climbing or laying out waiting to ambush prey hahahha.
Also that temp isnt going to hurt them, think about it. These snakes are found in several places in Africa and they aren't always in a cool den. My Male stays in the Hot Hide 18hrs a day 365 days a year at 90 degrees.

Good choices to cool the tub/enclosure down, but totally false on the "cant survive" comment. Thats just silly. These snakes are from Africa and i know for a fact they all don't stay in a cool Den underground. My male stays in his 90 degree Hot Hide 24/7 365 and is healthy as a horse.

I live in Arizona desert, have all my life.. swamp coolers are useless here bc its too hot. Swamp coolers only are blowing air over pads that are wet w warm/hot water. They just dont work. Unless ofcourse you put blocks of ice into the bottom of swamp and even then, it only helps blow cold at night bc day time temps of 116 like we have had over last cpl day still melts the ice blocks quicker than they can help during the day.
