    Is wooden rod safe for ball pythons?
    Hi,

    I'm building a square shape from wooden rod for my ball pythons to climb on.

    I would like to know if there is any risk of using the wooden rod? can it heart them in any way?

    Wood is going to absorb liquids and be hard to clean. I would look at using pvc for something like you are proposing.

    Wouldn't the pic or plastic tubing be too slippery to climb around ??

    It would be alright- most people use pvc pipes for arboreal species, and that's even more slippery to us.

    I use PVC to make climbing structures for my snakes. Works great.
