    Bag?
This is a totally random question but I know in nature shows people will capture wild snakes and put them in bags. Why dont they use a bin? Do snakes enjoy being In a bag? Is there a reason???

not totally sure but the bag is soft, has more give and allows the snake to move yet still restrain it. in a bin, which is hard, the snake could smash his face up/possibly insure itself trying to escape. it also covers the eyes so they're usually not going to strike out.

When you are walking around in the woods or desert for a period of time the last thing you want to do is lug containers around. Bags are easily stored and transported in your pockets.

I would think that most herpers then place the bagged snakes in containers when they get back to their vehicles (snakes are left in the bags).

Bags/pillow cases are much easier to carry. The animal stays contained and you can carry more than one without much problem. Try carrying two or more bins around through the woods, etc...

Depends on the snake if you go herping for venemous snakes I highly encourage you to have a bucket not a bag.

No venomous experience here. From what I've seen though, it seems that they go into a bag first and then a bin with venomous. Is this common?

Helps containing the snakes when in the bucket so it does not shoot out when opening the bucket but some people will put them straight in the bucket.
