    Health question, what is this?
So we adopted a 7 yo BP about 10 months ago, our forst snake. When we got her she had what looked like a scar on her back about mid way down. It seemed like it has been getting better with sheds but all of a sudden its getting worse. What could this be and how do i fix it?

Since it is one continual line it suggests a scape that is healing or maybe a current minor scrape. It's hard to be certain from the photo.

Did this just show up, or has it been there?

If new, you need to inspect your cage for things and areas that may cause injury.

It looks like trauma but if it's getting worse you need to take it to a vet. I'd keep it on paper towel and keep the humidity down until you can get it to a professional. I don't see signs of infection which makes it hard for me to give any real recommendations. It could possibly be an internal organ issue, sometimes that manifests in scale/skin degeneration. If this was improving and it was my animal I may have passed on the vet, but if it were my animal and this issue was worsening I would be in contact with a professional for sure. Best of luck and keep us updated.
