It's true, making a BP urinate/deficate

I learned tonight while you tubing some Alan thral videos. If you need a snake you pee or poop. Put them in a clean bed, especially before you plan to sleep. I've held my snakes on my bed many times and this is the first time one has done it. And it was the new girl the first time I had her out to explore.
I had picked up a baby female (I still have to verify that) Mystic ,175g, 3 weeks ago at the KC reptile show. She was only fed live mice when I got her, and she has taken 2 F/T rat pups 20-25g for me. So awesome luck so far there. But hadnt urinated or dedicated the entire time I've had her and has a major sausage butt. Which should have been a sign. Plus I saw her do a little butt wiggle before I felt a wet spot under me. Atleast she only got my sheet and pillow and not my main blankets. She aughta feel better being clear of per and urates now.

This works with recliners too. I've learned not to handle them long when they have sausage butt.

They certainly seem to enjoy messing with their live in janitors from time to time. I was running through my AM rounds earlier this week and only 2 enclosures needed cleaning, so I took my sweet time. As I was heading out the door, I heard another bomb getting dropped and felt a definite disturbance in the force. While I was taking care of that one a veritable poop domino effect began, with snakes dropping waste as fast as I could clean. Ended up cleaning a dozen more enclosures and was a little late to work. As for the sausage butt, if you're really itching to handle, a little soak in some lukewarm water is a good way to get those bowels moving. It's a heck of a lot easier to clean than your bed too. :D

If she hasn't popped yet, I'll post a picture in a few. Letting her move on the bed and peeing there might have started a chain event.

Here's the best I can show of a sausage butt. The little girls was worse before she peed all over my bed. It looked like her butt had shoulders to her tail. The big girl is in shed, so not as pretty as normal. But she is holding onto 4 feedings worth of 100+g rats. She has a slight sausage butt going on, but I couldn't get her to hold still for a good picture. She's always been a bit squirmy though. Doesn't mind being held, hates sitting still.

my little yearling boa went 3 or 4 weeks before i finally gave her a soak and she pooped an entire additional boa that night. Her sausage butt was so bad that my wife, who prefers not to even look at my snakes, said the next day, "did she get thinner??"
