New Nile Monitor has strange spot on skin
I just got this baby Nile monitor and he has this spot on him and I have researched a ton but I can't figure out what it is. It almost looks like some kind of fungus? He seems totally fine, he eats like a champ, probably 3 or 4 large dubias a day. He's in a 55 gallon tank with uvb and heat, he's either in his giant water bowl, sitting right under the heat lamp or is burrowed under his bedding. The only strange behavior he has is he freaks out like crazy when people come near the tank, he'll sprint back and forth and run into the glass aquarium. I've never had a monitor before so I'm not sure if this is normal behavior or not, I'm used to lazy leopard geckos and ball pythons. I've included a picture of him, if anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it, I will be taking him to the vet in a week or so if it doesn't get any better or if his behavior changes.
