    New enclosure
After many people's advice I decided to move the baby burm from a 20 gal glass tank to a tub setting. Hope this helps him relax more and eat

You need to secure the lid. The end locks alone are not going to keep the snake in.

You can use some alligator clamps, luggage straps, or look into another tub.

Target has some that have locks on every side and are perfect for snakes.

Like this. This is only a reference for the style locking lid I mentioned. They come in all sizes.

I was going use a few school books since I didn't know where to get clamps. I'll hit target. Thanks

Trust me. Never count on books or bricks or anything balanced on the lid. A determined snake will keep bumping the lid until the books fall off. :snake:

Any hardware store will have clips but the tubs like I linked are truly excellent for keeping snakes.

That's basically what I have. It snap locks in each end and I have added fasteners in the middle

I would add one near each corner on the long sides.

Never underestimate your snake's strength or ability to squeeze into tight spaces. Plenty of people have found their snake escaped with a lid stacked with books still in place.
